The most anticipated games of 2019

It’s going to be a bumper year for gaming, and if you’re able to keep up, some real gems are to be released. We thought we’d take a look at some of the biggest and most anticipated games of 2019 to be brought to players. We think you’ll be as thrilled as we are.

Kingdom Hearts 3

It’s pretty safe to say that gamers have been looking forward to this for a very long time. It’s been delayed more than most titles in recent memory, and expectations are very, very high.

Combining entertaining gameplay with a strong RPG element, alongside the presence of Disney Characters. This makes it an incredibly intriguing prospect, and something we’re super excited about. We only hope that the game will keep up the fantastic gameplay standards we’ve come to expect as this is one of our most anticipated games of 2019.

Anthem

This has really set the pulses of countless gamers racing. The first thing we have to get out of the way here is that it allows you to fly around a huge open world like Iron Man. If that doesn’t cause you to rush out and preorder the game, nothing will.

BioWare has been creating the game for what seems like years now, and this has meant that there is a ton of anticipation. The trailers show a truly beautiful environment and some very exciting action. It looks a little too much like Destiny for some people to get truly excited, but it will certainly be one of those games that has a huge launch.

Mortal Kombat 11

Another sequel, but unlike the Kingdom Hearts game, this one isn’t for the kids. Instead, we have another title in the long and infamous beat ‘em up series. This time it looks even more brutal, and even more exciting.

There isn’t a lot of info out there right now about the game, but needless to say the fanbase will lap it up, a storm will take place in the media, and everyone will start saying ‘finish him!’ once again.

Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order

This could turn into something truly special or it could be an absolute nightmare. It is scheduled to be released around the same time as Episode 9 of the film series late in 2019. While this sounds like great fun, players must remember one thing.

The series has been very successful, but the games tied to the series have been patchy as regards quality. Even the mighty Battlefront series, credited with kickstarting a kind of Star Wars video game renaissance, has had its ups and downs. Let’s hope this game makes a real splash, and becomes a memorable title. There’s a lot riding on it.

Gears of War 5

This is another of those series of games that has passed into legend. Players lap this set of games up, and if you’ve spent even a few minutes with one of these titles, its easy to see why.

There are apparently a whole new set of challenging enemies to take on with this title. On top of that, the game is most definitely open world, which makes it an even more exciting prospect for fans of the series.

There are also new characters to take on. And this means the Gears of War universe is going to be a lot richer.

Devil May Cry 5

Always a favourite due to it’s challenging gameplay and gripping storyline, the Devil May Cry series of games has a new chapter in 2019.

There is a brand new and apparently fiendishly challenging bad guy in the game, who goes by the enigmatic name of ‘V’. Fans are obviously speculating as to who V is, and what he is going to bring to the story, but it’s pretty safe to say that he’s going to be memorable. we hope it will be fun as this is one of our most anticipated games of 2019.

Dead or Alive 6

This is an interesting one, in that it has come about long after the shine of the series wore off a little. It’s hoping to be a more mature version of a game that attracted all kinds of wrong attention when it first came out.

There should be a more realistic attempt at making the game less sexist and crass, and a focus on gameplay. The other games played well, but there is a hell of a lot of competition out there in the fighting genre. But we’re excited.
